Dental Procedure Length
The following times are estimated averages. Each office operates differently, and actual times will vary.
Bridges - usually 2 appointments; 1st - 1 hr.; 2nd - 30 min.
Cleanings - about 1 hour
Crowns - usually 2 appointments; 1st - 1 hr.; 2nd - 30 min.
Fillings - 30 min. for 1 tooth; add 10-15 per additional tooth
Root Canal - about 1 hour
Tooth Removal / Extraction - 45-60 min.
Veneers - usually 2 appointments; 1st - 1-1.5 hours, depending on number of teeth; 2nd - 30-60 min.
Whitening / Bleaching - 3-4 hours, possibly over several visits
Before each procedure, it's best to show up 10-15 minutes early. And, of course, please brush before your trip to the office. The procedure will go much more smoothly if there isn't food in your mouth.
